Blackberry Leap review

Blackberry Leap review

Blackberry, mobile company was facing a lot of competition during past some months from new android smartphones in the mobile market. Recently Blackberry has revealed its new phone “Blackberry Leap” which is similar to Z30 and Z10 models of blackberry. This smartphone was developed in context of high security, good standby and talking time, as well as for suitable for business purpose.

Looks and performance

Blackberry leap has got 5.0 inch display screen along with 294 ppi pixel density and it weighs around 170 g. Build and looks of this phone is very good, its textured back makes the phone looks attractive & grippy. This phone is similar as Blackberry Z30 and Z10 in looks.

As per as performance is concerned, Blackberry leap is powered by 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm snapdragon Adreno 305 processor. The phone is running on the Blackberry version 10.3.1.
Leap’s attracting feature is the typing experience. Its virtual keyboard is very fast and much accurate. Which can give you a good and effortless experience with words suggestions.

It has got 8 MP auto-focus rear facing camera with HDR, touch focus, panorama shot like features and a 2 megapixel front facing camera which can record 720p videos and shoot photos of a good resolution and clarity. Although camera features are same as others, but it can capture photos with clear and true colors.

Memory & Storage

Leap is equipped with 16 GB of internal storage and 2 GB of RAM & it also supports MicroSD card upto 128 GB. With this size of RAM the processor will make your experience even more better.

The main feature I like about this smartphone is its battery backup. Blackberry leap has 2,800 mAh of battery which can long last up-to 20 hours hours on talk-time and upto 9-10 hours on media playback. The battery is not removable. This type of battery will last long for all the day.

Other specifications

Other specification includes, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, Accelerometer, USB 2.0 along with a 3.5 mm of earphone port.

Blackberry Leap is available at the price of Rs. 21,490 in India.

Its specifications does not match with the price settled. But still we are concerned with the performance of this smartphone. The mismatch between the features and the price is very disappointing. Overall Blackberry Leap is a fine smartphone, and quite handy for business people.
